START SAILING 1

Start Sailing 1 is a great way to start your sailing journey. Learn the fundamental skills of sailing while we introduce your to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment. 

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Sessions will run daily from the 17th of January - 18th of January, starting at 9:30-3:30pm.

Price: $300 for the full course including your Australian Sailing Certificate of Completion

Course Outcome

ALGAL BLOOM

Largs Bay Sailing Club will follow the governments guidance on the current Algal Bloom situation, and how it relates to our activities. Participants are reminded that the decision to participate rests solely with the participant and/or their parents. While reasonable precautions will be made, Largs Bay Sailing Club can not be held responsible for any health effects as a result of the algae exposure. 

Course Overview

This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.

You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
