2026 Polar Bear (Winter) Series

LBSC will conduct a monthly winter series in 2026.
All club and class sailors are welcome to join the LBSC fleet.

Regatta Dates are schedule on:

• Round 1 . . .  Saturday, 16th May 2026 

• Round 2 . . .  Saturday, 20th June 2026 

• Round 3 . . .  Saturday, 25th July 2026 

• Round 4 .. . . Saturday, 22nd August 2026 

REGATTA INFORMATION

• Competitors shall complete the Safety Registration Form online before 1200 hours each race day to register their attendance.  A QR Code will be posted on the noticeboard to assist with registration.
• Warning Signal for Race 1 will be at 1300 hours, each Saturday.
• Class start times, courses and any amendments to sailing instructions or this information will be posted on the LBSC official noticeboard at least 1 hour prior to the first race.
• Up to 4 races will be sailed back to back (weather and time permitting).
• A Short Course racing format will be used.

Nominate on the club website after 0830 hours on each race day.
Please complete the LBSC Online Race Day Safety Registration at least 1 hour prior to the first start.
Competitors shall sign-off after the last race or if they withdraw from racing before the last race.

Class Nomination Fees:

• Senior Classes : $25.00
• Youth Classes   : $18.00
• Optimist Sailors : $12.00
• Members who paid Bulk Nomination in season 2025/26:  Entry fee is included 
• Visiting sailors from an affiliated sailing club may use their home club details to register as a LBSC SailPass member before they complete the Online Safety Registration to enter this LBSC event.
• Visitors who are not members of a sailing club must first register as a LBSC SailPass member, then complete the Online Safety Registration.

The LBSC Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for Club Racing shall apply plus any amendments prescribed for Special Regattas shall apply for this series.
